In 2011, a movie and television production studio was built. Most recently, the Midtown Miami project brought the addition of anchor retail stores, such as Target and Loehmanns, as well as office complexes and condominiums.
Combined with its sister community, Edgewood, there are 15,149 residents who call the area home. The community is racially mixed with residents who are Hispanic, African American, or white. Over the years, Wynwood families have seen their median household income rise to $37,205.
