Unfortunately South Florida roads are full of folks driving around without any insurance at all, and if you are in a car crash with one of them, you may think you don’t have any way to recover. But there is an insurance called Uninsured Motorist Coverage which you may have on your policy. Now you may think you have full coverage, but this is a selective insurance that you’re not required to buy so you’re going to want to check your policy. Uninsured Motorist Coverage also covers a situation where a person fled the scene of the accident and you don’t know who they are, or if you were a pedestrian or a bicyclist and you were hit because of an uninsured motorist.
