Transcript - Car Accidents
A Car accident case cannot always be settled, that means we may need to sue the other person, and if we sue the other person, then we’re involved in car accident litigation. Well car accident litigation has several parts; the first part is discovery. We will work with you closely during the discovery phase. Discovery really means just what it sounds like, both sides get to discover about the other side's case. The first step is the defendant will send written questions and a written request for documents. We will sit with you and go over those written questions, and go over the written the written request for documents, to make sure that their properly responded to. After that the defendant will have you sit for a deposition, where we will be with you. We will help you prepare and we will make sure you are ready to give your testimony. After your testimony, the defendant has the right to send you for a compulsory medical examination, performed by a doctor of their choosing, and after that there’s a mediation, which really just means an informal settlement conference, and we do our best to work with you and see if your case can be settled. If the case can’t settle, then we try your case, and over the years we have received many successful settlements and verdicts at trial. If you want to know any specifics about past results, you can go to our past results page, or you can call and talk to me, Jonah Wolfson, and I look forward to hearing from you, thank you.
