Tara, a Miami native, is a highly accomplished professional who graduated Magna Cum Laude from Florida State University in 2014, where she earned her Bachelor of Arts in English and Communications. Pursuing her passion for law, she continued her education at Florida State University College of Law and successfully earned her Juris Doctorate in 2017.
During her time in law school, Tara showcased her dedication to the field by becoming a Certified Legal Intern at the State Attorney's Office in Tallahassee. In this role, she worked closely with the prosecutors in the Juvenile division, actively participating in motion practice and bench trials. Her exceptional skills and commitment earned her a position as an Assistant State Attorney at the prestigious Miami-Dade State Attorney's Office upon graduation.
As an Assistant State Attorney, Tara gained extensive experience in prosecuting a wide range of criminal cases, from misdemeanors to felonies. Her caseload included DUI, theft, burglary, aggravated battery, and more. Tara's outstanding performance in the courtroom and her successful completion of numerous jury trials have made her a respected figure in the legal community.
After honing her skills as a prosecutor, Tara decided to explore the private sector and joined a prominent Worker's Compensation defense firm in Miami. For nearly 3 years, she represented insurance carriers, self-insured employers, and third-party administrators, showcasing her expertise in this specialized area of law.
Presently, Tara practices both Personal Injury and Worker's Compensation law at the esteemed law firm of Wolfson & Leon.
