Monica was born and raised in Miami, Florida. In 2006, she graduated magna cum laude from Florida International University with a Bachelor of Science in Education and in 2011, she earned a Master of Science from the University of Florida in Curriculum and Instruction. Monica worked as a public school teacher for 14 years.
She earned her law degree from Florida International University College of Law in 2020 and was admitted to the Florida Bar in 2022. As a law student, she worked in the FIU Legal Clinic aiding low-income families have access to the legal system by handling family, guardianship, and social security cases.
Advocating for others is Monica’s passion. She advocated for her students in the classroom and now for her clients in the courtroom. Monica has experience working in the field of first party property insurance litigation, family law, immigration, and estate planning. Practicing personal injury law at Wolfson and Leon, she continues to advocate for clients working every day to assure insurance companies justly indemnify clients after a loss.
